They sit in a playoff spot, with at least one game in hand on those around them, while having gone through a series of absences to several of their top-end players.
So why is there so much angst? Are the Canucks really in a bad spot? They’re ahead of the Oilers still, haven’t got Elias Pettersson up to top gear yet, Brock Boeser’s just returned from an injury, and Thatcher Demko is on the cusp of making his debut in goal this season.
Plus J.T. Miller is still to return, so Patrick assesses where the team truly stands and looks at possible imminent trades.
